INCEPTION FMG: Frame Modification Guide
This is a set of 9 3D printed guides and hardware that make it easier to modify your EMF frame/lower to work with our GTS (Gas Through Stock) system.
This guide may work with other peoples parts but we don't guarantee it.
Modify your frame at your own risk, but using this guide will lower the risk.
Remove your frame from your EMF and all internal components from the frame.
Measure your 3/8, 1/4 and 13/64 drills using the drill length guide. Mark each drill with a wrap of tape to show when you have drilled deep enough into your frame.
1) Bolt the first drilling guide to the bottom of your frame with the screws provided and OEM nuts in the frame. The single boss will fit into the regulator location and help everything line up. Drill the 3/8" hole to depth.
2) Remove the first drilling guide and make sure the second one fits with the smaller boss fitting up inside the 3/8" hole you just drilled. Drill the 13/64" hole to depth.
3) Bolt top drilling jig to frame using the provided bolts through the frame hole locations. Drill the 1/4" hole to depth. Be careful as this will mainly be using the side of the drill. Use a sharp drill and go slow. Check frequently.
4) Bolt top clearance jig to frame using the provided bolts through the frame hole locations. Mark through opening to see where hose clearance is needed. Remove jig and using a rotary tool carefully grind away for clearance. Check frequently with the jig and clearance block to make sure you don't remove more material than needed.
5) Align side clearance jig on frame using bosses that fit into the gas transfer tube recess. Mark left side clearance line with a sharpie. Place bottom of clearance jig onto top of jig from below and mark the lower clearance line on the frame with a sharpie. Remove jigs and clearance frame with a rotary tool. Check regularly with jigs. Try not to leave any sharp internal corners. Place clearance block into upper and lower jig to verify clearances.
Clean up edges and the gas hose path with rotary tool and a sharp exacto blade style knife.
Test fit hose through the path created, make sure it can fit under the body of the marker once installed without any sharp turns that restrict the hose or without being pinched.
